• Defense -- The Defense Application Division facilitates dialogue on the application of current and effective logistics practices and products to the execution of national defense missions throughout the global defense sector. Providing a continuing forum for communication between government defense agencies and the international defense and commercial industrial base, SOLE’s Defense Application Division coordinates these communications through international symposia and logistics congresses, member networking, and local forums for the sharing of ideas at national and international levels.

• Humanitarian and Disaster Relief -- SOLE’s Humanitarian & Disaster Relief (H&DR) Logistics Application Division was established to promote widespread application of logistics in planning, preparing for and delivering humanitarian and disaster relief. It is through this division that the Society carries out its commitment to (1) provide a focal point within the logistics discipline for a specialty in H&DR, (2) increase external awareness of the role logistics and logisticians can play in strengthening relief capacity and effectiveness, and (3) serve as a catalyst for bringing individuals and organizations together to collaborate on H&DR problem-solving.

• Space -- SOLE’s Space Logistics Application Division promotes the widespread application of logistics in planning, preparing for and delivering design for supportability and sustainment in the space program vehicles, and in the application of logistics in launch operations. Working with academia, NASA, industry and the space logistics technical committees of allied organizations, SOLE’s Space Logistics Application Division provides a continuing forum for the insertion of logistics and the development of a space LogOps community so as to ensure the success and sustainment of "off world" missions.
